The course analyses the contemporary capitalism, and it discusses theories that may contribute to explanations of the contemporary social-historical processes, that brought on thorough changes of the world system in the second half of the 20th century. The transformations in the system of production, way of accumulation, work, business and productivity go along with the transformations of the forms of society and of subjectivity. The course gives also some bases of political theory, and it analyses the contemporary transformations of state, democracy and political acting.
