Reimagining Western Civilization: Historical Foundations, Contemporary Challenges, and Future Directions

As Dean of Class I, EASA, I am delighted to invite you to participate in our upcoming online symposium, "Reimagining Western Civilization: Historical Foundations, Contemporary Challenges, and Future Directions."

In an era marked by rapid technological advancements, shifting cultural paradigms, and global interconnectedness, understanding the trajectory of Western Civilization is crucial for navigating the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. This symposium seeks to foster an interdisciplinary dialogue that reconsiders the enduring legacy of the West and its role in shaping our shared global future.

Symposium Themes

We invite contributions that explore:

• The historical evolution of Western thought, culture, and societal norms.
• The interplay between traditional values and contemporary socio-political and economic challenges.
• The philosophical foundations shaping Western ideologies.
• The future of the West in the context of globalization, technological innovation, and cultural transformation.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners across disciplines. Submissions may adopt various methodological approaches, including historical analysis, philosophical inquiry, comparative studies, and interdisciplinary research. All accepted papers will be published with EASA (in PEASA). 

Key Dates

• Abstract Submission Deadline: April 3, 2025, 250 words abstracts.
• Notification of Acceptance: April 10, 2025.
• Symposium Date: June 23-24, 2025, 15:00 - 16:30 (CET) on-line.
